ARE YOU AN RSL MEMBER?

 
Would you like to play RSL lawn bowls?
The Waverley RSL Lawn Bowls Section are currently looking for new members to participate in the various
Victorian RSL Lawn Bowls Association scheduled events which include - 
Annual State Fours, State Triples, Challenge Day, Anzac Commemoration Tournament and the Duke of Edinburgh Shield.
Bowlers to represent the State of Victoria in the RSL National Carnival, which is conducted every year, and in a different State each year The Waverley RSL Lawn Bowls Section have a membership of around fifty regular bowlers, but we still need more members to represent our Sub-Branch in the various events.  
These events (except the Shield) are usually played on a Monday at various Clubs, and are nominated events.

DETAILS FOR NEW MEMBERS

 
Who Are We?
We are a section of the Waverley RSL Club Membership, and are lawn bowlers; Ladies or Men, who are also affiliated with Bowls Victoria
We were formed about 28 years ago for the purpose of competing in the various lawn bowls events being organised by  the “Victorian RSL Lawn Bowls Association”
Elected Committee of eight members, whose main task is to organise and run the social and bowls events, and select sides for participation in the “Duke of Edinburgh Shield” competition.  

MEMBERSHIP

 
Members must be a fully paid up Service or Affiliate Member of any RSL Sub Branch, and also a member of a Bowls Victoria Affiliated Bowls Club

FUNDING

 
Members pay an annual subscription, which at present is currently set at $10.00
We are fortunate to receive sponsorship from the Waverley RSL Sub-Branch to assist with our entry into the Duke of Edinburgh Shield and ANZAC Commemoration tournaments.
